Pablo Andujar’s win over Roger Federer in Geneva on Tuesday wasn’t just his first Top 10 win in six years, it also snapped the 20-time Grand Slam champion’s 32-match winning streak in Switzerland.

Federer hadn’t lost on home soil since falling to Juan Martin del Potro in the 2013 Basel final.

“As [far as wins, this is] number one for sure,” Andujar told ATPTour.com. “To win a tournament could be more emotional, but this is something I think I will remember my whole life.”

Since losing to Del Potro on October 27, 2013, Federer had gone 24-0 at the ATP 500 event in Basel, winning the title in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019, as well as 6-0 in Davis Cup and 2-0 in Laver Cup.

He was also 11-0 in his career in tour-level matches in Geneva: 9-0 in Davis Cup, 2-0 in Laver Cup.

The No. 75-ranked Andujar is a former No. 32 with four career ATP titles, all at ATP 250 events on clay, just like Geneva: Casablanca in 2011 and 2012, Gstaad in 2014 and Marrakech in 2018.
