Three-time Roland Garros champion Serena Williams made a winning start to her week at the WTA 250 in Parma, Italy on Monday, beating Italian qualifier Lisa Pigato in 68 minutes, 6-3, 6-2.

It was her 175th career tour-level win on clay.

“Lisa played really well,” Serena said afterwards. “She told me she was only 17. Her future is super-bright—she handled the moment well, so I look forward to cheering for her in the future.”

Serena is by far the most accomplished clay-court player of any active player on the women’s tour. She’s won Roland Garros three times in 2002, 2013 and 2015 (no other active women’s player has even won it twice), and she’s won 13 WTA titles on clay (no one else has even hit double digits).

But there is one active women’s player with more tour-level match wins on clay: Sara Errani.

Errani has 183 career tour-level wins on clay. The Italian has won seven WTA titles on the surface and is a former finalist at Roland Garros, finishing runner-up to Maria Sharapova there in 2012.

Only four active women have 150 or more career tour-level wins on clay: Errani (183), Serena (175), 2009 Roland Garros champion Svetlana Kuznetsova (168) and Venus Williams (167).
