All week long, Baseline is counting down newly engaged couple Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina's most iconic and fun-filled moments from their G.E.M.S.Life Instagram account.

Sunny getaway

Most of us would wish to erase the pandemic-plagued 2020, but some memories are worth preserving. Right before the COVID-induced hiatus, both Monfils and Svitolina had been on a roll—with Monfils picking up back-to-back trophies in Rotterdam and Montpellier, and Svitolina triumphing in Monterrey.

In July, Svitolina and Monfils vacationed on the French Riviera, baller style. The duo took envy worthy selfies as they shared plenty of glimpses into their escape.

“Shoulda been a tennis pro. You guys have all the funs,” wrote one follower.

Another wrote: “Lovely tennis couple.”

On the sunny getaway, the tennis stars cozied up on a yacht in color-coordinated outfits.

“Cool pic. Cool couple. Glad your back “online”. Missed your madness,” a fan commented on the photo.

The soon-to-be married couple have not played any events since announcing their engagement. Monfils is entered into next week's Monte Carlo Rolex Masters as the No. 10 seed, where he faces Pablo Andujar in his opener. Svitolina is scheduled to play the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, which kicks off on April 19 in Stuttgart.
