On Thursday, Roland Garros its Grand Slam tournament would be delayed by one week because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The clay-court major was ready to start on May 23, but main-draw matches will now begin on May 30. The tournament wants as many spectators as possible to be able to safely attend the event, even as COVID-19 cases surge across France.

While one week may not seem like a big deal, fans may start to get flashbacks to the 2020 edition of the tournament, which was pushed back four months, to September, with crowds limited to 1,000.

The lack of communication about the postponement has frustrated certain players, such as Milos Raonic (and, in the video above, Frenchwoman Alize Cornet).

Crazy to learn about this from Twitter. This greatly impacts the players and we are given no heads up. Even some communication shortly before the rest of the world would be nice. https://t.co/CB03LOj1NT — Milos Raonic (@milosraonic) April 8, 2021
