All week long, Baseline is counting down newly engaged couple Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina's most iconic and fun-filled moments from their G.E.M.S.Life Instagram account.

Following the 2019 Australian Open—Monfils lost to Taylor Fritz in the second round, Svitolina lost to eventual champion Naomi Osaka in the quarterfinals—the happy couple traded their racquets for some winter fun.

In the Instagram video, Monfils gently picks up Svitolina before playfully throwing her in the snow.

The couple that plays together, stays together.

“When you think someone being romantic for once,” the caption read. (Can assume that it’s the Ukrainian who wrote that?)

The video was viewed more than 148,000 times.

“Pure fun,” one commentator wrote.

“Too funny. Gael stop being so rough on my girl, sweet heart,” another wrote.

The couple would break up and make up several times before announcing their engagement on Sunday. G.E.M.S.Life indeed.
