Svitolina shows why dating an athlete is not fun

This one comes as no surprise, but Elina Svitolina has somehow found a way to top her long lists of hilarious and catchy TikTok videos. This week in Miami, she released an "Everyone thinks dating an athlete is fun" video.

Although she's currently on a break with ATP veteran Gael Monfils, the Frenchman took to her comment section to chime in.

"100% hahaha  (XV)(III)," Monfils wrote with laughing faces and hearts.

Think it's cool to date an athlete? Think again, at least according to the Ukrainian's video, where she says they are always hungry, never home, tired and experience frequent mood swings.

After making it through a rough 2020, a preseason of training in Spain and a two-week quarantine apart in Australia, the sport's golden couple decided to take a break from each other. Although the pair are not together, they seem to be on good terms as the two are still publicly commenting and liking each other's social posts. The world No. 5 is also having a great time in Miami as she defeated No. 9 seed Petra Kvitova on Monday in three sets to advance.

Her on-court footwork could be a reason for her success in the Sunshine State...

She will take on Anastasija Sevastova in the quarterfinals and will look to enter the tournament's last four, a hurdle she has yet to jump over in her career thus far.
