Last week, Americans reached the quarterfinals or better in Dubai, Doha, Russia and Mexico. Here are the Americans who made the biggest impact on the WTA and ATP Tours last week.

Semifinalist - Qatar Open, ATP 250

It was a wild week for Taylor Fritz at the Qatar Open. The 23-year-old knocked out both Denis Shapovalov and David Goffin before falling to eventual champion Nikoloz Basilashvili. The deep run in Doha marks his best event showing this season.

Quarterfinalist - Dubai Tennis Championships, WTA 1000

Over the last month, the teenager has found herself coming out on top in numerous three-set battles. After reaching the last four in Adelaide, Gauff pushed her way through to the quarterfinals in Dubai, defeating No. 12 seed Marketa Vondrousova along the way. This marks her best run at a WTA 1000 event in her young career.

Quarterfinalist - ATP Challenger 80, Russia

It was a big week for Sock as he managed to reach the last eight in Russia's Challenger event. The world no. 256 hasn't made a quarterfinal appearance since Indian Wells' Challenger event in 2020. In his St. Petersburg opener he defeated No. 3 seed Cem llkel and would go on to move past Russia's Pavel Kotov in his second round, before falling to No. 5 seed Kacper Zuk.

Quarterfinalist - Dubai Tennis Championships, WTA 1000

It was a tough loss for Pegula. After reaching the quarterfinals in Dubai without dropping a set, the American captured the first set against No. 10 seed Elise Mertens, and even held a pair of match points, but could not claim victory. Although the loss was a tough pill to swallow, she is still playing the best tennis of her career.

Quarterfinalist - Guadalajara, WTA 250

After fighting through qualifying, Davis hit cruise control for a couple of rounds. She defeated Anna-Lena Friedsam and No. 6 seed Danka Kovinic without dropping a set, but would see her run end at the hands of Elisabetta Cocciaretto in the quarterfinals.  Davis jumped back into the Top 80 after her solid week in Mexico.
