Already a hero to fans the world over, Venus Williams embraces her inner Wonder Woman in her latest collection, "I Am Wonder Woman" by EleVen.

"What inspires me are the things she stands for: morals, values, justice, friendship, honor," the five-time Wimbledon champion says in a series of videos released on Instagram. "Those are values that are timeless. They never get old, they never wear out, and they always take you to the right place."

Williams launched EleVen in 2007, and has shown off her signature styles both on the court and at New York Fashion Week. "I Am Wonder Woman" features a mix of athletic and athleisure apparel inspired by the DC comic hero, who has starred in two major motion pictures in the last five years.

"Am I a Wonder Woman comic fan? Yes! I love Wonder Woman. I love her backstory, her mother, what she stands for. Most of all, I love her outfits."

Williams played her 88th Grand Slam main draw at the 2021 Australian Open in February, and though she battled knee and ankle injuries through a second round defeat to Sara Errani, many praised the American's determination and refusal to give up.

"For girls looking to find their inner Wonder Woman, I would say it’s already there," Williams says. "You just have to believe in wonder, and you have to believe in yourself. That doesn’t mean you’ll feel confident every time, but you’ll make decisions that are based off confidence, and you’ll always get there.

"Wonder Woman doesn’t always know how she’s going to win that battle, but she has the confidence to step up to it every time, and that’s the right thing to do. You can never shrink back."

The 40-year-old released the collection to mark Women's History Month, and the full collection can be found on her EleVen web store.
