The final of this year's Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship has been decided. On Saturday, Garbine Muguruza and Barbora Krejčíková will face off for the title. In the semifinals, Muguruza took down Elise Mertens while Krejčíková ousted Jil Teichmann; both came out in straight sets.

The pair are yet to face each other on tour, which means the final has potential for lots of surprises. Krejčíková has not lost a set yet during her run in Dubai, but Muguruza has been dismantling strong opponents as well, including Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka.

Muguruza may want the title more, having reached two finals in 2021 so far, but losing in both. However, the Czech has only reached one final in her career - Nurnberg in 2017 - making this match, by far, the biggest of her career and she will want to capitalize.
