Serena Williams joins in on Meghan Markle conversation

The 23-time major champion, who has been friends with the Duchess of Sussex for quite some time, took to Twitter to defend her friend's statements on the two-hour Oprah special with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The tweet garnered over 300,000 likes in less than a day.

"I know first hand the the sexism and racism institutions and the media use to vilify women and people of color to minimize us, break us down and demonize us," Serena wrote on Twitter.

Daniil Medvedev breaks up the Big Four

For the last sixteen years, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray gripped a strong hold on the rankings' Top 2 spots, but come March 15th, that will all change. Russian Daniil Medvedev will pass Rafael Nadal in the ATP rankings and will become the first man since Lleyton Hewitt in 2005 to hold a Top 2 spot outside of the Big Four.

International Women's Day

Earlier this week, Tennis Channel celebrated International Women's Day, but The Break's host Erin Coscarelli believes every day should be Women's Day. She gave another quick rundown of the sport's trailblazers—Chris Evert, Althea Gibson, Martina Navratilova, Bille Jean King, Steffi Graf, and the Williams sisters.

"No doubt that the athletes of today will continue to push the limits of what women can do," Coscarelli said.
