On International Women's Day, the WTA and its players are choosing to challenge the status quo and tradition in order to create a more inclusive and brighter tomorrow for all women. This year's #ChooseToChallenge theme is all about setting aside gender bias and obstructive stereotypes to help forge a gender equal environment both on and off the court.

"I'm inspired by all women. Anybody with determination and passion in anything that they do inspires me," Victoria Azarenka told Tennis Channel.

The two-time major champion, along with her strong peers who take the court each week during the long season, continue to push limits and boundaries. These women are not afraid to fight and take on challenges head first; in fact, they embrace it.

"Challenge is such a powerful word for me. Whether you're accepting a challenge, whether you're taking it head on, whether you're choosing to challenge other issues other athletes, whatever it is," Shelby Rogers said.

Last year's US Open quarterfinalist believes the word is very powerful, and believes it speaks to the character of an athlete. Rogers feels accepting challenges means you're brave and fearless in the face of adversity. She's ready to welcome challenges and push forward in important matters that go far beyond the court lines.

Rogers also gave a piece of advice for the next generation of women.

"Be confident with who you are, be as unique as you can, don't try to be like anyone else because you are you and that's your superpower," Rogers said.
