On Sunday in Melbourne, the Australian Open men's title will be decided between the world No. 1 Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev, who is in his second major final and first in Melbourne. The Serbian owns the most Australian Open titles of all time with eight.

The pair have played against each other seven times in their careers, with Djokovic leading the head-to-head record, 4 -3. Medvedev won the most recent battle, defeating the world No. 1 at the ATP Finals. He is just the third Russian in history to reach the Australian Open finals.

The Russian 25-year-old is seeking his first Grand Slam title after losing to Rafael Nadal in the US Open final in 2019.
