Shelby Rogers dismissed qualifier Olga Danilovic on Day 4 at the Australian Open, 6-2, 6-3, to move into the third round. Danilovic hails from Serbia and someone very, very popular was in her corner watching her compete.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic came out to support his compatriot and Danilovic's opponent didn't mind one bit.

“I noticed at the very end," Rogers said. "She definitely won the cheering squad award today, I’ll tell you that. I think it's so cool that he’s out there supporting women’s tennis... It’s really cool to have an atmosphere out there and have some fans in the stands."

Djokovic was spotted in the stands earlier in the tournament when he came out to support another Serbian, Filip Krajinovic. With the tournament at half capacity it's certainly easier for players to move around and find good seats.

"He was at the first match as well," Danilovic said. "It’s such an honor for me that he’s there supporting me, and also just the way that he treats me in a way that he really cares."

Rogers is one of a large handful of American women still alive in the draw, though American No. 1 Sofia Kenin was ousted by Kaia Kanepi, 6-3, 6-2. Rogers will next face either Anett Kontaveit or Heather Watson.
