The Naomi Osaka business empire continues to grow, with Osaka becoming an owner of the North Carolina Courage, back-to-back champions of the National Women's Soccer League.

"I’ve always received so much love from my fellow female athletes. So, that’s why I am proud to share that I am now a owner of @thenccourage," Osaka wrote on Instagram. "I will keep continuing to pay the love I have received forward and I’m excited to continue the legacy of women empowerment."

While her team's won the past two NSWL Championships, Osaka has stiff tennis-related competition ahead of her, as Serena Williams is invested in Los Angeles' Angel City FC, which plans to begin play in 2022.

"The Courage are also looking forward to harnessing Naomi’s passion and talent for fashion," the team's announcement said, "with plans to incorporate the tennis star into its design decisions in 2021."
