Haase gets his Aussie Open started early

While the times have been tough Down Under, the social media content has been phenomenal as players have tried to stay busy in Australian Open quarantine. Even those allowed to practice have found ways to be creative: Enter Robin Haase.

The 33-year-old decided to play his first point against a formidable opponent, himself. Players were permitted one practice partner for the first week with the planned expansion to three partners for week two delayed.

There's not much left to complain about with just a few days to go until total freedom. Tennis Australia has made calendar adjustments to help players prepare, namely adding a WTA event just for those coming out of hard lockdown.
