Serena Williams is expanding her foothold on south Florida, and moving closer to her big sister Venus.

Despite rumors that Serena was planning on leaving her longtime home state after selling their Palm Beach Gardens house for $2.8 million, the 39-year-old has acquired another property. It's a 10,433 square-foot mansion worth $8 million in nearby Jupiter, Fla. The expansive home used to belong to former St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina.

With 8 bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, a swimming pool, guest house, a tennis and basketball court, it's a dream home for any resident. Still, Serena is demolishing the property, outlining plans back in October to start over.

This isn't the first time that Serena has completely remodeled a home. After purchasing a Palm Beach Gardens house in 1998, she and Venus spent two years custom-building it and lived together for most of the past two decades. Now they're going to be neighbors again after Venus moved into an oceanfront estate in Jupiter in 2019. Venus will surely be lending her little sister a hand given she owns an interior design company.

For now though, their focus will be on the 2021 Australian Open where Serena will once again try to win Grand Slam No. 24.
