With most of the WTA and ATP tour heading to Australia on the exact same schedule, social media was bound to blow up. Players packed and masked up, jumped on chartered flights together, and entered hotel quarantine in Melbourne (and Adelaide).

Players and their entourage have undergone testing and will spend a few days in total hotel quarantine before being permitted to leave their rooms for five hours per day for practice and training purposes. Some stars like Daniil Medvedev and Felix Auger-Aliassime are blessed with a good view for the fortnight.

Each player had to pick just one practice partner for the first week so expect to see a lot more bonding videos. It's a highly unusual way to prepare for the first Grand Slam of the season, but everyone is on board to make the tournament as safe as possible. The Australian Open doesn't start until Feb. 8.
