It was only a matter of time before Tennys Sandgren really tapped into his inner musician. The Nashville native chose a folksy country song to cover in his latest Instagram video—despite a well-known preference for hard rock and heavy metal.

Sandgren was accompanied by Mikael Torpegaard on vocals and guitar. Torpegaard is Denmark’s No. 1-ranked ATP player currently ranked No. 189.

The 29-year-old American crushed a rendition of "Nose on the Grindstone" by Tyler Childers, complete with a black-and-white filter for the video.

Sandgren has shown off his drumming skills in Instagram posts past, as well as his singing prowess. It just wasn't anywhere nearly as stripped down:

Given what everyone has seen this year from players like Denis Shapovalov, Dayana Yastremska, Louisa Chirico and Corentin Moutet, he'll be in good company when the tour resumes in 2021 if the world No. 49 wants to enjoy some more jam sessions.
