A few weeks ago, Naomi Osaka posted a photo on her Instagram of her sitting inside Nike's headquarters in Oregon.

"Pic of me being excited for the things that are about to come," Osaka wrote.

Fans have been sitting at the edge of their seats, waiting for the three-time Grand Slam champion to make a major reveal. On Thursday, fellow Japanese player and friend Kei Nishikori served up some news on behalf of Osaka by wearing her newest Nike kicks.

Osaka teamed up with Nike and Japanese fashion brand Comme des Garcons to create a brand new collaborative take on the Nike Blazer Mid '77 Vintage shoe. It marks the 23-year-old's first sneaker design, and while it gives a nod to Japanese culture, Osaka's personal touch is sprinkled on the Blazer.

"Do you see the NO? That's me," Osaka said on Instagram while opening the shoebox. " OK so I've seen them before but I never got my pair and these are my pair."

The highest paid female athlete's new shoe has a clean white upper lightly decorated with a smoky grey textured print that spells out Osaka’s full name and Comme des Garcons. Osaka's signature is also placed on the back of the shoe, and a phrase saying, "Home is where the heart is," in Osaka's handwriting falls just below.

The price for these fresh kicks is currently $120. However, no official release date has been set, so fans will have to remain patient for a little while longer. To be fair, Osaka just received a pair of her debut Nikes on Friday.

A few days later, Osaka and Nike announced the launch of her very own signature apparelline.

The two-time US Open champion is continuing to make the most of what has been an unusual and daunting year. With just one more WTA event on the schedule for 2020 in Linz, Osaka will next be vying for titles in 2021. Here's hoping the world N0. 3 drops more merchandise just in time for the holiday season.
