The Bulgarian ousted No. 3 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3 to move into the quarterfinals in Vienna. He'll take on Dan Evans next after the Brit beat wild card Jurij Rodionov.

The Greek would grind out the first set over Dimitrov but ultimately drop out in the round of 16. The Roland Garros semifinalist was playing in his first event since Paris.

Daniil Medvedev

The No. 4 seed in Vienna had to battle to reach the quarterfinals. He was tested by Canada's Vasek Pospisil in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 battle and will get Kevin Anderson next.

The No. 2 seed had a straightforward day in the office with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Cristian Garin. He'll have a stiff challenge in Andrey Rublev for a place in the Vienna semifinals.

Mackenzie McDonald

Over in Kazakhstan, McDonald advanced to his first ATP quarterfinal of 2020 by easing past veteran Andreas Seppi, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3. He's one of five unseeded players vying for semifinal berths in Nur-Sultan.
