Rejoice! Roger Federer is coming back after taking most of the 2020 season off. While it's not a guarantee, the 20-time Grand Slam champion said in an interview that his recovery from his second knee surgery is on schedule.

"I'm on the right track," he said. "But I don't want to put pressure on myself and take my time. I will only enter tournaments when I am 100 percent fit. At the moment, it looks like I can come back at the Australian Open."

Federer played only one tournament in 2020, the Australian Open, where he lost to Novak Djokovic in the semifinals in straight sets.

The 2021 Australian Open looks to be happening and is still a few months away, leaving plenty of time for Federer to change his mind.
