It's no surprise that Serena Williams' daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. is picking up tennis. The three-year-old is taking her first lessons, but she won't be learning from her 23-time Grand Slam winning mother.

"The lady has no idea that it’s my daughter so we’ll see how that goes," Serena said on her Instagram Story.

Before her big lesson, Olympia watched some film of her mom playing the US Open, though she prefers cartoons.

"I'm not a pushy mom, but I know how I like technique," Serena said. "So I’m going to make sure she’s good at teaching Olympia some techniques."

Olympia has been on a court before: who can forget her photoshoot this summer with Serena?

At the lesson itself, Serena was scoping out the scene though she didn't linger.

"I’m going to leave so I’m not distracting," she said. "I know how to leave and be. I’m not an overprotective mom, no matter what Alexis [Ohanian] says."
