WNBA champion Jewell Lloyd sat down to reflect on Iga Swiatek's Roland Garros accomplishment. It was a lot to unpack as the teenager made history by dismissing Sofia Kenin, 6-4, 6-1.

"Iga was phenomenal this whole tournament," Lloyd said, adding that she noticed that Swiatek had her sports psychologist Daria Abramowiczon on her team in Paris.

"The fact that she understands that she needs that at a bigger stage of her life, right here in sports, as a young athlete, that's amazing," Lloyd said.

Here's a look at what Swiatek's historic accomplishment means:

1

First Polish player, male or female, to win a Grand Slam.

2

At 19, youngest women's Roland Garros winner since Monica Seles in 1992.

3

First woman to win Roland Garros without the loss of a set since Justine Henin in 2007.

4

First time ever both the men's and women's champions did not lose a set.

5

Her first tour-level title ever, and first time inside of the Top 20.

Lloyd knows a thing or two about soaking in a huge victory having won the 2020 WNBA Finals for the Seattle Storm just last week.
