Another disappointing Grand Slam has passed for Serena Williams. After defeating fellow American Kristie Ahn in the first round, the 39-year-old pulled out of Roland Garros, making this the third year without a major for Williams.

An Achilles injury, picked up during her US Open semifinal loss against Victoria Azarenka, has continued to bother her. Talking to reporters after the match, she she will "need four to six weeks of sitting and doing nothing," effectively ending her 2020 season.

She was set to face Tsvetana Pironkova in the second round, who will now take on Barbora Krejcikova on Friday.

Serena currently sits at 23 Grand Slam titles, one behind the all-time record of 24 set by Margaret Court. With her recent tough streak at majors, is there a chance for No. 24?
