This year's Roland Garros may be wet and windy, but that does not mean that the players do not want the title any less. The men's favorites are Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, while the women's "most likely to win" star is No. 1 seed Simona Halep.
As a recent winner in Rome and the 2018 champion in Paris, Halep has proven she can dominate on clay. If her first round match against Sara Sorribes Tormo is any indication, the Romanian is not feeling the nerves: she dismantled the Spaniard, 6-4, 6-0.
She got to celebrate her first win on her 29th birthday.
