Andy Murray was granted a wild card into Roland Garros and he seems incredibly grateful to be coming back to Paris. The 33-year-old had only positives to share in a recent Instagram post.

He pointed out that he hasn't played the clay-court Grand Slam since 2017 when he lost a fifth set to Stan Wawrinka in the semifinals. The Scot reveals that the match was a sour turning point for his hip, which would require surgery in 2018 and nearly end his career.

After coming back in 2019, he won a title in Antwerp—notably beating Wawrinka in the final—but then suffered a setback which forced him to miss the Australian Open. He'll enter Roland Garros having played just two events in 2020. He picked up two notable wins in "Cincinnati" over Frances Tiafoe and Alexander Zverev, but lost in the second round of the US Open.

At No. 111, Murray will be unseeded and his draw will be revealed on Thursday.
