Sunday's men's final will be historic. The world is guaranteed a first-time Grand Slam champion, with a lot on the line. Dominic Thiem is looking to become the second Austrian to ever win a major, while Alexander Zverev is hoping to carry on the legacy of Boris Becker as the first German since 1989 to win a Grand Slam title.

It will be the first US Open since 2014 where Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal will not be in the final. The drama has already reached a fever pitch with Zverev pulling off a massive two-set down comeback over Pablo Carreno Busta, 3-6, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4. At 23, he is the youngest US Open finalist since Djokovic in 2010.
