Shirtless Zverev makes the most of the suite life

Alexander Zverev has truly been living his best suite life this fortnight. The 23-year-old German has taken to the new normal at the US Open like a child to chocolate. To the joy of everyone watching he's spent a lot of his time in his private room in Arthur Ashe Stadium stadium shirtless.

"I didn't know the camera was on me that much as well," the world No. 7 said. "I only realized afterwards that I was shirtless on TV."

He's been stringent about wearing a mask, even though his suite is for his team members only.

Twitter really went wild over his presence in the suite when his match against Adrian Mannarino was delayed over two hours.

"I'm relaxed," Zverev said. "What I do on the court doesn't depend on what I do before the match that much. I watched the other match. What else am I supposed to do? I was in my suite."

The No. 5 seed has hasn't played his best at times but he's made his way to the semifinals where he'll face Pablo Carreno Busta. All of the winning has meant extended suite access as seeded players who lose give up their room for others ranked below them.

"It's been amazing, actually," Zverev said of the suite. "I mean, everybody saw my shirtless pictures, so that was different, but it's been great."

The new shirtless habit is simple: Zverev has come a long way with his fitness and he's proud of it.

And the heavy use of the suite makes perfect sense as players have to make the most of the unique opportunity with 2021 hopefully back to normal.

"Normally the US Open is the busiest Slam, now this year we kind of have our quiet [space]," he said. "We have everything we need. I think it's different and I think all the top players have been enjoying it."
