Venus Williams may have turned 40 in June, in the age of quarantine, though she shows in a new video from her own YouTube channel that it's not too late for a legend to add to their repertoire.

Sporting a "new attitude," the elder Williams sister feigns rage in the clip, modestly faux-slamming her racquet to the court as her coach and physical therapist look on in something short of astonishment.

It makes for a visual amuse-bouche ahead of this US Open, with Venus playing against type and the on-court drama soon to bubble up in New York. Perhaps the video, clocking in at more than six minutes, might benefit from some whittling down, but if you'd like to be the one to recommend to an active Hall of Famer that she self-edit, well, be her guest.

"Bad girls do it well," M.I.A. once spoke-sang. Venus, a two-time US Open single champ who last hoisted that trophy 19 years ago, finds herself ranked No. 67 now. She will open in Queens against No. 20 seed Karolina Muchova.

We'll know for sure in coming days, but Venus must be considered among the top 10 title contenders given her winning history and the well-edited (read: self-edited) entry list.
