Earlier this week, the most successful doubles team in tennis history ended their careers. Bob and Mike Bryan said goodbye to the sport less than a week before the start of the US Open, finishing off their time on the ATP Tour with 1,108 wins.

The twins shared a heartfelt message on Instagram to their fans.

Their statistics boggle the mind: 39 ATP Masters titles, 30 Grand Slam finals, 438 weeks at the world No. 1 ranking, 178 tour-level finals, and that's just the beginning. They may not be signing off on their own terms, but their historic achievements will never be forgotten.
