Taylor Fritz has dealt with a couple of losses already this week at the Western & Southern Open, and he wasn't going to take one more. The 22-year-old was part of a video compilation effort by the social team to give Ohio State University a shout out.

With the tournament relocating to New York from Cincinnati for the year, it was a cute gesture.

But for Fritz, it was case of no good deed goes unpunished. Not only was his enthusiasm as a cheerleader low (understandably), but he also didn't say the "O" and "H" with any authority like everyone else.

John Millman, who was one of the most exuberant participants, called the American out.

Fritz's objection was taken into consideration by the tournament organizers, who then released the full version of his interview.

Technically, host Blair Henley can be heard asking him to do "O" and "H". While viewers can't see her making the suggested gestures, she did try to draw out some energy and that certainly implied verbal commitment.

"If you don't mind, bring out your best cheerleader for us, if you can do O-H on the count of 3," Henley said. "Here's my challenge for you Taylor, I want to see the most enthusiasm that you can bring."

"It's not going to happen," Fritz said.

The results speak for themselves.
