Sakkari, Vekic model in Elle magazine

Maria Sakkari and Donna Vekic have recently landed in the pages of Elle magazine. Sakkari was even featured on the cover of Elle Greece.

The shoot took place just before the 25-year-old headed to the first WTA event of the tour's restart in Palermo.

"It was maybe the nicest shoot I’ve had so far," Sakkari told Tennis Channel. "It was a tough one, because it was pretty hot in Athens and it was outdoors. It’s something I’m proud of outside of the tennis court."

Safety was a priority on set with everyone involved getting tested and wearing masks. Another WTA star, Donna Vekic, was also in Elle magazine, and she shared her stunning images on Instagram.

The world 24 is in the pages of Elle Croatia, which is her home country's publication.

Though she's used to wearing Nike, the 24-year-old switched outfits for the pre-fall collection by Zagreb designer Aleksandra Dojcinovic and the Lei Lou fashion label.

Both Vekic and Sakkari are in New York for the Western & Southern Open and the US Open. They had challenging first rounds with Vekic losing against Victoria Azarenka and Sakkari taking out Coco Gauff.
