The Bahamas is a hot spot for pre-season and mid-season training. In 2017, former No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt opened a tennis academy on the island called the Albany Sports Academy, and players have trained there before including Nick Kyrgios.

Kyrgios will be absent from the New York hard-court swing this summer, but Schwartzman, Raonic and Shapovalov are all entered into the Western & Southern Open and US Open. With a ranking of No. 192, Polansky is an alternate.
