If you have been on Instagram within the last couple of days, chances are you noticed women posting black and white selfies. It's for a social media challenge that aims to both empower and celebrate women of all different backgrounds, shapes and ethnicities.

Everyone from Khloe Kardashian to tennis' very own Garbine Muguruza accepted the challenge by friends who nominated them.

These selfies show the faces of strong, independent and fierce women. By nominating others, it keeps the cycle of support and love for women flowing.

So far, over three million photos have been uploaded with the #ChallengeAccepted hashtag and the number is continuing to increase. Barbora Strycova and Donna Vekic also jumped in on the social movement.

Although the posts don't require too much to be written in the caption, the photos of these inspirational faces remind the world just how important they are, and also remind women to do better to elevate other women.

The on-going trend also encourages women to share a photo of themselves that they feel both confident and beautiful in. Many of the top WTA players participating, tennis fans are sure to see more.
