Co-ed team tennis has made it to Great Britain. After a successful Battle of the Brits men's tournament, Jamie and Andy Murray are back for more.

Last month, Jamie Murray organized the first event, which was won by Dan Evans. This time around, Murray's mother Judy is taking the lead for the St. James's Place Battle of the Brits Team Tennis tournament.

"I love team events and this one particularly because it’s mixed," Judy Murray told the BBC. "I love all the tactic scouting and team building."

The week-long event features two teams, 40 singles matches, 20 doubles matches and stakes increasing as the points per match go up from 1 to 5. It's taking place behind closed doors at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre in Roehampton.

Men and women are competing together with the 26-player field including the Murrays, Johanna Konta, Dan Evans, Kyle Edmund, Harriet Dart, Heather Watson, Cam Norrie, the Broady siblings and more. There's men's and women's singles and doubles as well as mixed doubles.

Andy Murray has just one complaint.

"It's a bit of the same we are all on the same team," he said."I was quite hoping to see my mum coming against me."

Action kicked off on Monday with the Murrays on Team Union Jacks and taking on Team British Bulldogs.
