WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va.—Tuesday was a hot day of action with the Philadelphia Freedoms inching ahead of Chicago Smash to lead the World TeamTennis league standings. 


Jack Sock had an eager new cheering section but the New York Empire fell to Springfield. 


An alternate for WTT, Hailey Baptiste subbed in to compete for New York. 


Caroline Dolehide clinched the 23-19 win for Philadelphia with Taylor Townsend. 


The Washington Kastles did an elbow group cheer before a 23-17 loss to Orlando. 


Tennys Sandgren put up nine points for Orlando in the first match of the day.
