From the Backhand Boys to Bianca Andreescu, tennis is full of players with musical aspirations of varying seriousness. But perhaps the one with the most potential of them all is Carol Zhao, owner of two ITF titles and an NCAA championship with the Stanford team.

Zhao has long been known as the resident musician on tour, and now she's taken things to the next level with a debut single, "I Wish It Would Never Stop Raining," a duet with fellow Canadian Jake Beck.

Not just a boredom project, the track has an official lyric video and is available for streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.

"This is a song that I started writing over a chill hop beat," Beck wrote in the video's description. "Then Carol came over to my studio one day and started singing something else over the same beat. Naturally, we converged them both into one epic track, for you."

"Bout time!!!!!! So good," Nicole Gibbs commented on Instagram. Gaby Dabrowski and Caroline Dolehide were among the many others to congratulate Zhao.

Here's hoping a full album is on the way somewhere down the line.
