Both in and out of competition, Gael Monfils is never one to shy away from theatrics. Among the most melodramatic trends online right now is the #DontLeaveMeChallenge, in which people make a series of the cheesiest puns possible, using the people and objects around them as inspiration.

For instance, Monfils accepted the challenge, and in his video, he pointed to Elina Svitolina's face and said, "This is the face," before looking at his watch and adding, "This is the time."

"FaceTime," he said, sliding off the screen satisfied with his joke.

Another one of Monfils' one-liners had him holding pictures of Will and Jaden Smith—Will and his son: "Wilson!"

And more in the tennis realm: He pointed to his back, then showed the camera his hand. "Backhand!" he said while miming a two-hander.

On Instagram, Frances Tiafoe and Felix Auger-Aliassime both commented their approval, leaving fire emojis and crying-laughing faces. Perhaps other players will give the challenge a shot in the coming days, though Monfils is always a difficult act to follow.
