During these trying times, sports stars are looking for ways to keep busy and relevant while they aren't on the courts, or fields. For Venus Williams, that won't be difficult. A game show starring the seven-time Grand Slam champion and NFL superstar Rob Gronkowski will air next Wednesday on CBS.
The show, called Game On!, is hosted by Keegan-Michael Key and will pit the two star athletes against each other alongside celebrities like Bobby Lee, Ian Karmel and James Corden (you might have seen Corden in a Lakers half-time show months ago with Venus and Gronkowski).
The challenges will be athletic, extreme and unusual, such as balloon sumo wrestling and human bowling, instead of the expected tennis and football.
Venus has been keeping fit during quarantine with her workout videos on Instagram. She has sweated it out virtually alongside Grigor Dimitrov, sister Serena, super model Naomi Campbell and most recently, former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo. The pair blasted through a hour-long legs and arms workout:
If that wasn't enough (does Venus ever slow down?), she is launching new sunscreen products under her EleVen by Venus Williams brand.
If anyone knows how important sunscreen is, it's the 39-year-old after spending countless hours training in the sun and living all of her life in California and Florida.
