Monday marked the first taste of live tennis since the cancellation of Indian Wells, though it was strictly virtual. Madrid launched the Mutua Madrid Open Virtual Pro on PlayStation4 with pros competing from all over the globe.

Belinda Bencic was one of the competitors and she took her debut seriously, complete with a walk on. She had the outfit, bag, lights, the wave, announcer and music all perfectly orchestrated for her first match.

Bencic received a virtual round of applause from Donna Vekic, Karolina Pliskova, Kristina Mladenovic, Barbora Strycova, Katie Boulter and more, in the comments section.

She beat Carla Suarez Navarro in her opening match, 3-1, and she even picked up the shot of the day nod.

The tournament features men's and women's draws with round-robin action, and Bencic is in Group 1 with Suarez Navarro, Fiona Ferro and Karolina Pliskova.
