Querrey, Anderson and more embrace time with new babies

Adjusting to the new stay-at-home normal has taken some time, but a number of pros are relishing an unexpected gift: quality time with their young children.

Take Sam Querrey for instance. The world No. 45 just welcomed a son on Feb. 19 with his wife Abby Dixon. Instead of missing out on little Ford Austin's first few months, Querrey is now a stay-at-home dad.

"He's keeping us busy," Querrey said. "That's the one good part for this for me is that I get to be home with my little newborn son, where during a normal tennis schedule, I probably would have missed a handful of these first few months."

Kevin Anderson is also a new parent, welcoming his first child, a daughter named Keira, in September.

“I think what I’m most fascinated by is just watching her, even though it’s so small, little leaps or learning curves, just watching her learn things," Anderson told the ATP. "I think that’s been nice, where I’ve been able to spend quite a bit of time with her for basic things."

The South African was working toward a clay season comeback after undergoing right knee surgery. Obviously that's on hold now, until at least July 13.

John Isner is keeping things in perspective.

Novak Djokovic is embracing this unexpectedly long stretch of time at home with his two young children.

Jeremy Chardy also has a new baby to watch grow up, for at least a few more months.
