According to all Serena Williams' social media account, and Washington's *The Hill*, she has chosen to go into self-quarantine mode during this pivotal, coronavirus-affected period of time.

"Spending the next 6 weeks in solitude. Being a wife. Being a mom. Cooking. Cleaning. Spring cleaning. Face mask. Makeup tutorials. I’ll let you know how it goes.... stay safe everyone," Serena said, adding, in closing, "This is serious."

Sharing on Instagram, Serena noted that she is confining herself and her household—including husband Alexis Ohanian, Sr., and daughter Olympia—to trio confinement for six weeks (perhaps more, based on latest public health guidance).

The coronavirus situation is evolving daily—yea, hourly—and Serena and her kin are not immune to the implications of a truly global health crisis. As noted by the World Health Organization (WHO), the situation amounts to a pandemic.

The French Open has just moved to September, and the WTA Tour has been suspended into early May so far, with stops in Charleston, Stuttgart, Prague, and other destinations canceled or postponed. Whether that moves out, as other sports have done—notably the National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, and others—remains to be seen. Operative word: evolving.
