It seems that Novak Djokovic was one of the first to hear the news that the Miami Open is cancelled. A member of his team posted a photo, complete with face masks, of the group on a plane.

The rest of the ATP was slower to hear the bad news, as Taro Daniel and Noah Rubin were left out.

"So Djokovic is leaving US before any tournaments post IW are cancelled or postponed. What info am I missing?" Daniel said on Twitter.

"Being in the dark is common in this world," Rubin added. "Let’s keep telling a select few what’s happening while the rest just guess."

Djokovic's fitness trainer Marco Panichi's caption wasn't entirely correct, as flights to Europe are unaffected by the latest travel changes. But with the coronovirus spreading, the impact on travel, gatherings and events is changing by the minute.

Following the Miami Open's cancellation came news the ATP will be shutting down the season for six weeks. That impacts Houston, Marrakech, Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Budapest. The ITF cancelled all tournaments until April 20.

The only silver lining, at least for Djokovic, is that he'll remain undefeated in 2020 for quite a while longer.
