Indian Wells is one of the biggest sporting events to be called off so far, and it's the first significant tennis tournament to be cancelled since World War II. The reasons behind the cancellation are more than valid: safety and health concerns, which are of the utmost importance for any event.

It's hard to truly question such a serious decision, but was the Indian Wells cancellation truly warranted?
