Novak Djokovic had little trouble subduing Stefanos Tsitsipas, 6-3, 6-4, earn his fifth Dubai title. The win marks the Serb’s 79th career title, and his second of the season.

Aryna Sabalenka handled the challenge from 2018 champion Petra Kvitova, 6-3, 6-3, at the Qatar Total Open to capture her third Premier 5 title, her sixth career WTA title. Kvitova had won 10 straight matches in Doha.

Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strycova continued their hot streak in Doha to claim the doubles trophy with a 6-2, 5-7, 10-2 over Jelena Ostapenko and Gabriela Dabrowski. It was the pair’s second straight title in as many weeks, having won Dubai seven days ago.

John Peers and Michael Venus picked up their first title as a duo. They took out Raven Klaasen and Oliver Marach, 6-3, 6-2, for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships trophy.

World No. 6 Tsitsipas came into the Dubai final against Djokovic looking for his second title of the season, having won Marseille six days ago. Djokovic now leads their head-to-head series, 3-2.
