Gael Monfils appears to be unstoppable these last couple of weeks. The Frenchman dismissed Japan's Yasutaka Uchiyama, 6-1, 6-2, to claim his 11th consecutive victory. Monfils is just three wins away from capturing his third title in 2020.

Belinda Bencic trailed Yulia Putintseva 3-1 in their head-to-head record. But on Wednesday, the world No. 9 closed the gap by posting a 6-4, 6-3 win in Doha. Bencic is into her second quarterfinal appearance of 2020 and will face Svetlana Kuznetsova.

Novak Djokovic upped his spotless 2020 record to 15-0 after easing past Philipp Kohlschreiber, 6-3, 6-1, in Dubai. The world No. 1 will next face Russia's Karen Khachanov for a place in the quarterfinals.

Former Doha champion Petra Kvitova fought past Jelena Ostapenko, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1, to keep her campaign alive. The No. 8 seed struggled to find her rhythm and was forced to battle high winds to reach the final eight.

Defending Dubai finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas posted 7-6 (1), 6-4 win over Alexander Bublik to book his spot in Dubai's quarterfinals. The Greek kept his composure and stayed calm to get through the close first set and run away with the match.
