The rain may have battered the final weekend at the Rio Open, but Cristian Garin held it together to win his first ATP 500 title. The Chilean defeated qualifier Gianluca Mager in straight sets, 7-6 (3), 7-5.

It marks Garin's second title of the year, coming only a couple weeks after earning the Cordoba Open title in Argentina where he beat Diego Schwartzman. The 23-year-old has jumped to No. 18 in the world, marking his first time inside of the Top 20.

With the win, Garin matches the number of titles he won in 2019 and it isn't even the end of February. He's the third ATP player to win two titles in 2020, joining Andrey Rublev and Gael Monfils.
