McNally, Rogers and more gush over Roger and Rafa

MIDLAND, Mich.—Every pro at the Dow Tennis Classic in Midland, Mich. is a star in their own right. But, let's not forget they also get to travel the globe and cross paths with some of the biggest names in the sport.

They've met the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams and Martina Hingis. Just 18 years old, Caty McNally has ever right to feel in awe of Federer, having met him for the first time in Australian in 2017.

"I was red. I was sweating. I was so nervous," she said. McNally is the defending champion this week.

Federer was an understandably popular choice.

"I froze. My heart sunk to my feet," Shelby Rogers said of meeting the Swiss. "That is one moment I'll never forget for sure."

McNally and Rogers are still in contention at the W100K, with both set for round of 16 night matches on Thursday.
