This year's edition of the Australian Open is almost over and two unlikely finalists are ready to battle for the trophy: Sofia Kenin and Garbine Muguruza.

The latter already has two Grand Slams under her belt, but the former is one of the hungriest players on tour. This is far and away Kenin's best performance at a Grand Slam, previously unable to get past the third round. Despite Muguruza having won the French Open and Wimbledon, her best result in Melbourne was the quarterfinals in 2017, but she has otherwise been unable to get past the round of 16.

In Thursday's semifinals, Kenin ousted top seed Ashleigh Barty, while Muguruza eased past Simona Halep. But who will become a first-time Australian Open champion?
