Grigor Dimitrov showed up for his first-round match in Melbourne in a flashy tracksuit that had the internet talking. Sponsored by Nike, he was the first to wear the full 2020 Australian Open tracksuit with matching jacket and pants.

“I love being different when it comes to things like that and so many other things. I think the outfit is fun. I don't want to be vanilla,” Dimitrov said.

His match outfit was creative as well. He should feel comfortable to be himself in Melbourne as a former semifinalist, in 2017.

"I actually love it. I love colors...," he said. "I love experimenting as well and when [I'm] out there, I don't really think that much of the outfit. But it's so good to feel comfortable. I've been fortunate with Nike to be able to have quite a bit of my input."

Dimitrov opened his bid Down Under with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-0, 6-4 win over Juan Ignacio Londero. He was one of the lucky ones to get his match in under a roof on Monday, with rain suspending most of the play on the outside courts.
